Alderley Edge School for Girls is a modern school, which is light and bright and provides a stimulating learning environment both inside and out of the classroom. Our facilities for girls aged 2 – 18 are first class.

Pupils in Early Years are based in large, light, open plan rooms, with specialist zones to ensure your daughter receives outstanding care and support while she learns and develops. These areas include space for messy play and creative arts, a quiet and peaceful reading den, computer corner and access to learning outdoors. As we are connected to the Alderley Edge School for Girls Prep School, Senior School and Sixth Form, girls in Early Years benefit from using specialist rooms and PE and gym space.

Pupils in the Prep School and Senior School have access to our well-resourced libraries, extensive IT suites, the spacious Drama and Dance studio and state-of-the-art Science labs. We also have a Performing Arts Hall, which is a dedicated theatre for school plays and assemblies.

Students in our Sixth Form benefit from a large common room, private study spaces, as well as their own coffee bar offering the independence needed as students look towards university and the working world.

Our sports facilities enhance the pupils’ experience of life at school and we have both a Prep Gym and the Millennium Hall, which is used for sport as well as housing our very own climbing wall. Within a short walk from the main school, girls play netball and tennis on our five all-weather courts.

There are two grass playing fields, one at the back of the school used for summer sports and one within the village used for rounders matches in the Summer.

We are fortunate to use the excellent facilities including the pool at Wilmslow Leisure Centre to enhance our sporting provision.
