A Level Results 2025
Alderley Edge School for Girls is delighted to announce the exceptional achievements of its Upper Sixth students following the release of this year’s A Level results. Nearly one third of all grades awarded were A*– A, with over half of all results falling within the A*– B range, an outstanding reflection of the dedication, resilience, and academic excellence of both students and staff.
This year’s leavers are embarking on a wide range of exciting and ambitious pathways, including places at leading UK universities, competitive apprenticeship programmes, and careers in medicine, law, fashion, and STEM disciplines. The diversity of destinations and subject choices highlights the individuality and ambition of this remarkable cohort.
Among the many individual successes:
Amy Logan achieved A*A*A*A and has received multiple offers to study medicine both in the UK and internationally. She is currently considering which path she will be pursuing.
Bernice Young, who joined AESG from Hong Kong just a few years ago, achieved A*A*AB and will be reading Mathematics at King's College, London.
Polly Thorp secured A*A*A and will go on to study Geography at the University of Birmingham.
The school is hugely proud of the students’ diverse choices and career pathways, including highly competitive apprenticeships. Notably, Summer Dace will be attending the prestigious VOGUE Fashion School in London, having been awarded a scholarship. Seren Redfern will study History at Loughborough University while continuing her successful athletics career as a nationally recognised high jumper and Tilly Hawkins will be pursuing a Law Apprenticeship.
These achievements reflect not only academic success but also the strength of character, ambition, and individuality that define Alderley Edge School for Girls. As well as individual successes, there have been many departments who have achieved 100% A* - C grades including Art & Design, Business, Drama & Theatre Studies, Economics, Geography, German, Government & Politics, History, Photography, PE and Physics.
Mrs Caroline Wood, Headmistress, said: "We are incredibly proud of our Upper Sixth students and all they have achieved. Their results reflect not only academic excellence but also the resilience, ambition, and individuality that define our school community. At AESG, we nurture bright minds, balanced perspectives, and bold aspirations, and this cohort exemplifies all three. Whether heading to top universities, competitive apprenticeships, or global careers, our students leave us ready to make a meaningful impact in the world."
Ms Pinder, Head of Sixth Form, added: "It has been a privilege to support such a dynamic and determined group of young adults. Their achievements go far beyond their grades, they have grown into confident, compassionate individuals who are ready to embrace the future with courage and curiosity. The diversity of their destinations and ambitions is a true reflection of our ethos: bright in intellect, balanced in character, and bold in spirit. We couldn’t be prouder."
