Alderley Edge School for Girls Announces Two Inspiring Autumn Events Showcasing a Bold and Balanced Approach to Education
Alderley Edge School for Girls (AESG) is delighted to announce two upcoming events that offer families a unique opportunity to experience the school’s distinctive educational philosophy, where girls are nurtured to be bright, balanced, and bold in their outlook. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence, personal development, and wellbeing, AESG continues to redefine what it means to educate girls for the future.
From 13 to 17 October 2025, AESG will host its Prep School Open Week, welcoming prospective families into the heart of its vibrant and nurturing learning environment. This week-long event invites parents and daughters to explore how AESG inspires brilliance with balance, blending rigorous academics and stretch & challenge with creativity, joy, and emotional wellbeing.
Visitors will have the chance to meet the school’s passionate teaching team, tour dynamic learning spaces, and witness how girls grow in confidence, curiosity, and character from the very beginning of their educational journey. AESG Prep School is renowned for its warm, inclusive community where every girl is known and valued, and for a curriculum that stretches and excites across disciplines, from STEM to the arts.
The school’s commitment to developing resilience and a lifelong love of learning ensures that each girl is equipped with the foundation for success both in the classroom and beyond.
Following this, on Tuesday 4 November 2025, AESG will host its Sixth Form Open Evening from 6pm to 8pm. This event is designed for students ready to take the next step in shaping their future. The evening will showcase the breadth and depth of AESG’s Sixth Form offering, where ambition meets opportunity.
Attendees will explore a wide range of A Level subjects, meet subject leaders, and discover A Level courses that will spark their curiosity. The event will also highlight AESG’s bespoke #BeMore Life Skills Programme, which equips students with essential skills for life beyond school, including public speaking, financial literacy, and leadership development.
Prospective students will learn about the many opportunities to take on leadership roles such as Prefect and Peer Mentoring and hear directly from current Sixth Formers about their experiences and aspirations.
On Friday 7 November, pupils in Y11 can attend the Sixth Form Experience Day where they can try out four A Level classes of their choice as well as experience life and learning in the Sixth Form.
With expert guidance on UCAS applications and university pathways, AESG Sixth Form supports every girl in achieving her individual goals, whether that’s Oxbridge, a competitive course, a creative career, or something uniquely her own.
Headmistress, Mrs Caroline Wood, said: “Our Sixth Form Open Evening and Prep School Open Week is more than just an introduction to AESG, it’s an invitation to imagine your daughter’s future. Whether she’s passionate about the sciences, the arts, or leadership opportunities, this is your chance to explore what makes our Sixth Form and Prep School exceptional. Come and see how we nurture ambition, celebrate individuality, and prepare girls to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
Both events reflect AESG’s commitment to providing an education that empowers girls to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Families are warmly invited to attend and discover how AESG fosters a culture of excellence, balance, and boldness in every aspect of school life.
