Alderley Edge School for Girls is an academically selective school. While girls may see an examination day as a challenging one, we also want the girls to enjoy the experience and we believe it is the best way for us to get to know each girl and get the best out of them.
At our 11+ Examination Day, as well sitting the examination papers in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning, girls take part in activities which can be anything from drama or sport to ice breaking activities. We know from experience that these different activities give your daughter the chance to experience life at our School.
The exam papers consist of English, (Comprehension and creative writing or persuasive writing piece) and Verbal Reasoning. Each girl will also have an interview with the Headmistress or a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
