In 1999, St Hilary’s School and Mount Carmel School merged together to become Alderley Edge School for Girls. Both schools had a rich and interesting history.
In 1999, the two leading schools merged to become the only independent girls’ school in Alderley Edge, under the name of ‘Alderley Edge School for Girls’.

When our girls say farewell to the school, we do not just say goodbye and good luck for the future; we work hard to keep in touch and continue to offer our support.
We have well established links with many of our alumnae who come back to school to offer advice and mentoring to current girls about their life since entering the world of university or work.
