Lower Sixth

Most students in the Lower Sixth will opt to study four or five subjects at AS Level. In addition, General Studies is a taught and examined subject. They will then narrow their choices down to three (or possibly four) A Level subjects which they will study in the Upper Sixth.

In the Sixth Form, girls are given more freedom, flexibility and privileges including a Common Room area, a designated IT Suite and a Coffee Bar. Girls are expected, as young adults, to take control of their own learning – and we, as a school, aim to balance their increase in freedom with high levels of support and guidance.

The majority of girls who have been at the Senior School in Year 11 choose to stay with us but we also have a significant number of girls who join us in order to focus on their final two years of school study.
