Congratulations to Lauren Sumner in Year 10 who raised £1005.56 for Cancer Research UK by holding a masquerade ball. The event was held for pupils in Year 10 and 11 who enjoyed a three course meal, a disco and a charity auction.

The stakes were high this week as the Sixth Form pupils from Alderley Edge School for Girls took on a team of staff in a competitive hockey match at Wilmslow Hockey Club in Styal.

A pirate day was held in the nursery to celebrate the end of their project on pirates. The girls dressed up as pirates and participated in a treasure hunt in the garden. They also participated in a special pirate lunch and helped to create their desert island dessert with jelly rowing boats and cannonball fruits. A great day was had by all.

Thank you to Athenais Hill in Upper VI for her special assembly about her cousin Joshua. Joshua suffers from a rare form of epilepsy called Otahara Syndrome for which there is no treatment.
