The Parents and Friends’ Association (PFA) brings together parents, friends and teachers in an enjoyable social setting and organises events such as a Christmas Fair, Welcome BBQ, Discos and Quiz Nights to raise funds to provide additional resources for the School.
The PFA also runs a very successful 500 Club which works like a lottery. One draw takes place each term and allows each 500 Club member the opportunity to win a cash prize. The 500 Club costs £12.00 per year per person to participate and the cost is debited on an annual basis. 50% of the funds raised is put towards cash prizes whilst the other 50% is donated to PFA funds. If you are interested in joining the 500 club, please download and complete our application form here.
In addition to fundraising activity, the PFA helps new parents to find their feet by operating a “Buddy” system to help parents settle into school life quickly. They also run the Second Hand Uniform Shop. School uniform is currently sold on behalf of the parents, and a percentage of the sale proceeds goes to PFA funds. The shop can be found adjacent to the School Uniform Shop and opens every Thursday during term time.
PFA committee members and their responsibilities are outlined below:
|Kirstin Bisgood-Smith||500 Club|
|Francesca Jardine||Second Hand Uniform Shop|
The PFA aims to have at least two representatives from each year group.
