Parents and Friends Association

The Parents and Friends Association (PFA) bring together parents, friends and teachers in an enjoyable social setting and organise events such as a Christmas Fair, Quiz Nights and a Ball to raise funds to provide additional resources for the school.

The PFA also run a very successful 500 club which works like a lottery. One draw takes place each term, and allows each 500 club member the opportunity to win a substantial cash prize. 500 club costs £12.00 per year per person to participate and the cost can be debited on a quarterly or annual basis. 50% of the funds raised are put towards cash prizes whilst the other 50% is donated to PFA funds.

If you are interested in joining 500 club, please download and complete our application form and standing order mandate (see PDF downloads below) and send both items addressed to the school.

In addition to fundraising activity, we help new parents to find their feet by operating a “Buddy” system to help parents settle into school life quickly and we also run the second hand uniform shop. We sell school uniform items on behalf of the parents, and a percentage of the revenue goes to PFA funds. The shop can be found off the junior school courtyard and opens on the last Thursday of each month during term time.

PFA committee members and their responsibilities are outlined below:

Elaine Rhodes Chairman

Stephen Clayton PFA Treasurer

Each school year also has at least two PFA Year Group representatives.
